Family child care providers are regulated by several different City agencies and the State.
In our work we are teachers and care-givers. We design educational activities and constructive play time for the children we serve. We must be aware of what activities are developmentally appropriate.
And we must be good communicators. We talk with children. We talk with parents, guardians and other family members. We talk with regulators and others in government.
